Who is the course for?

The course is aimed at Welsh speaking managers who are fluent Welsh speakers within the social context but lack the confidence to use their Welsh fully within their professional roles. The course is aimed at managers who wish to boost their language confidence levels and competencies within their work context. 

Aim

The course aims to build the confidence of Welsh speaking managers (level 3/4) and develop their Welsh language skills in order that they may increase their use of Welsh at work.

Content

The course will cover the following topics:

  • Language awareness
  • Bilingual workplaces – facilitating change
  • Language skills tutorials
  • Public speaking
  • Media interviews
  • Preparing and delivering presentations
  • Chairing meetings
  • Discussing work issues with staff – induction and appraisal
  • The Welsh language and IT
