Welsh language skills for Reception staff

Aim 

The Aim of the work is to provide staff with the confidence and skills to use Welsh with members of the public. 

The course is suitable for:

• Individuals who don't speak Welsh but need to provide a bilingual service
• Individuals with some Welsh language skills but haven't used these skills at work before
• Welsh learners who are looking for an opportunity to increase their bilingual skills in the workplace  
• Staff who work in the Public Sector, the Third Sector and the Private Sector

The training will include:

• Practical sessions with a Welsh language tutor  
• An introduction to basic language awareness
• An introduction to language courtesy
• Welsh language skills training, based on the individual's day to day tasks
• Any support needed following the sessions to sustain changes in practice with regards to bilingualism
