Engaging with communities

The aim of this training is to present information regarding how to engage effectively with different groups and communities.

The training is intended for staff working at organisations who want to hear from their communities, who want to receive opinions and information from the public and who want to create a relationship with hard to reach communities.  

This training sessions will be run through the medium of Welsh.

Content:

Attendees will consider:

  • Why we should engage with communities (the advantage for organisations and for communities)
  • A chance to learn about and use practical tools that support participation
  • Case studies
  • Possible barriers and problem solving. 

Trainer:

Ffion Alun has worked for IAITH as an Estyn Llaw Development Officer over the past 3 years. She is a skilled trainer and has previous experience through her work with Grŵp Llandrillo Menai and Careers Wales.

In her role at IAITH, Ffion has worked with a range of third sector organisations and community groups across Conwy encouraging them to participate in different consultations
