The team consists of Prof Colin Williams, Meirion Prys Jones, Steve Eaves and Gareth Ioan. The four are notable figures in the language policy and planning field in Wales and have an international reputation. Prof Colin Williams is a prominent academic with links to Cardiff and Cambridge universities. Meirion Prys Jones was CEO of the Welsh Language Board until 2012 and is currently CEO of the European minority language network NPLD.

Steve Eaves and Gareth Ioan are past senior employees of IAITH, having contributed extensively and notably to Welsh language policy and planning in Wales over the past two decades. Both are recognised experts in their fields, Steve in terms of corporate language planning and Gareth Ioan in community-focused initiatives.

“With a new national language strategy in the making and the Welsh Language Standards being implemented anew by public bodies, the new team will be a great boon to our members and clients alike”, said Kathryn. “I look forward to leading IAITH into new and exciting times for us as an agency and for the Welsh language planning project as a whole”.
