Elaine Davies of IAITH authored the new Welsh language awareness course – 'The Welsh Language and Social Work’ – building on her previous achievemnts in the field over the past twenty years.

Andrew Green, Chair of the National College who also chaired Welsh Government’s digital on-line learning working party, said: “Increased interest has been shown all over the world during the past few years in new methods of teaching and learning. It’s a natural step for the National College to engage with an exciting new project such as the MOOC. The finished product has been developed and produced to a high standard and we are grateful to IAITH for their sterling work. The Welsh language awareness MOOC is a model that could be emulated by other HE subject areas, the health sector springs to mind immediately”.

IAITH looks forward to working with other bodies and sectors to develop similar resources in future.
